What is Elevate for Humanity?

Elevate for Humanity is a workforce development organization providing free career training programs to Indiana residents. We are a DOL-registered apprenticeship sponsor and WIOA-approved training provider, offering programs in healthcare, skilled trades, technology, and professional services.

Are your programs really free?

Yes! Most of our programs are 100% free for eligible participants through WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act), WRG (Workforce Ready Grant), and other government funding sources. We help you determine eligibility and apply for funding during the enrollment process.

Who is eligible for free training?

Eligibility varies by funding source, but generally includes: Indiana residents 18+, unemployed or underemployed individuals, those receiving public assistance, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing barriers to employment. Contact us for a free eligibility assessment.

How long are the training programs?

Program length varies from 4 weeks to 6 months depending on the field and certification requirements. Healthcare programs like CNA are typically 4-8 weeks, while skilled trades programs may be 12-24 weeks. We offer flexible scheduling including evening and weekend options.

Do you help with job placement?

Absolutely! We have dedicated career services staff and partnerships with over 50 employers across Indiana. We provide resume assistance, interview preparation, job matching, and ongoing career support. Our job placement rate exceeds 85%.

What certifications will I earn?

Each program includes industry-recognized certifications. Examples include: State CNA Certification, EPA 608 (HVAC), OSHA 10/30, CompTIA A+, Certified Medical Assistant, and more. These credentials are valued by employers and often required for employment.

Can I attend while working?

Yes! We offer flexible scheduling options including evening classes (6-10 PM), weekend sessions, and hybrid online/in-person formats. Many of our students successfully complete training while maintaining employment.

How do I apply?

What is WIOA funding?

WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) is federal funding that pays for job training for eligible individuals. If you qualify, WIOA covers 100% of your training costs including tuition, books, certifications, and sometimes supportive services like transportation.

Do you offer apprenticeships?

Yes! We are a DOL-registered apprenticeship sponsor offering earn-while-you-learn programs in barbering, cosmetology, HVAC, and building maintenance. Apprentices receive paid on-the-job training while completing classroom instruction.
