Elevate is an authorized Midland testing partner for HVAC/R trade certifications. Midland provides nationally recognized written and practical assessments for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration technicians. Credentials are issued by Midland upon passing and are recognized by employers, contractors, and state licensing boards across the country.

HVAC/R Technician — Core
Covers foundational HVAC/R knowledge: electrical theory, refrigeration cycle, tools and safety, system components, and basic troubleshooting. Required before any specialty track assessment.
Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps
Validates skills in residential and light commercial A/C and heat pump systems — system installation, charging, diagnosing faults, and heat pump reversing valve operation.
Gas & Oil Heating
Covers installation, service, and troubleshooting of forced-air gas furnaces, oil burners, and hydronic heating systems. Includes combustion analysis, venting, and safety controls.
Commercial Refrigeration
Tests knowledge of commercial refrigeration systems — reach-in cases, walk-in coolers and freezers, condensing units, and supermarket systems. Includes system design, leak detection, and recovery procedures.
Light Commercial HVAC/R
Covers rooftop units, split systems, packaged equipment, and light commercial refrigeration. Bridges the gap between residential service and full commercial systems.

All exams are proctored. Most are administered in-person at our Indianapolis testing center.
